UshersThe duties of ushers are various. Every Sunday, ushers are pass out bulletins to adults and children's bulletins to those that need more than the pastor's stirring words to remain still. They accept God's tithe's and our offerings, expertly passing the plate, and bringing our first fruits to the Lord's Table. They direct traffic when the congregation is on the move, making sure that everyone knows where to go and how to get there for communion. And, they make sure that those who cannot easily walk down to the chancel rail, receive communion at their seats. After the service they take up attendance pads and tidy up the pews - putting hymnals and Bibles back in their places and making sure that they don't accumulate in one place, or end up under a seat. But most important of all is this: ushers are the first to greet and receive those who come to church to worship. They act as Abraham and Sarah, offering hospitality to friends, family, and most importantly, strangers. To review more detailed duties, click here. The usher schedule is as follows:
