To make disciples of Jesus Christ through active, Christ-centered ministries of love

June 25-30

Each year, youth and adult members of the music ministries department attend Music Week at Lake Junaluska. “Music Week,” as it is most often referred, is a time of growing in Christ through the love of music. Youth (Canterbury choir and up) through adults participate through choirs and daily seminars and activities. A typical day at Music Week looks like this: delicious breakfast, chapel, rehearsals, lunch, rehearsals/afternoon activities, dinner and a special program in the evening. By the end of the week, everyone will have sung (or rung!) in their own concert. Music week is a great time of intergenerational ministry, as youth through adult members of Thomson’s Music Ministry department attend this great week.

We will leave soon after the 11:15 service on June 25 and return on June 30.

Due to limited funds, Thomson First will subsidize those adults and students (Canterbury age and up) who are actively involved (attending approximately 2/3 of rehearsals and services) in the music ministries program at Thomson First UMC.

Costs will vary by person and level of participation.

Register below to calculate your costs. (Half your Cost is due by Monday, Feb. 20, 2017)
